The Boy Who Gave His Heart Away named as finalist in World’s Best Radio Awards

Delighted to say The Boy Who Gave His Heart Away, the series I wrote with Jonathan Mayo and presented for Radio 4 last summer is a finalist at the New York Festivals World’s Best Radio Awards, in three categories including Best Writing. This seems remarkable to me and is once again a tribute to the McCay and Burton families for their courage and honesty in allowing us to tell their stories, as well as a tribute to Martin and Marc. Thanks to TBI Media for having faith in it too. The details of the awards are here, followed by links to the series and the book of the same name. http://www.newyorkfestivals.com/radio/main.php?p=rp2017
